Common questions before installing

Before choosing

Which type of air conditioning is right for me: split, ducted or cassette?

It depends on the space. Split units are the most affordable way to cool one or several rooms separately. Ducted systems are ideal for the whole home with no visible units, if you have or can install a false ceiling. Cassette units suit shops, offices and large living rooms with a false ceiling. During the visit we recommend the best option for you.

What capacity do I need for my square metres?

As a guide, 100 to 150 frigories per square metre are used, but orientation, ceiling height, insulation and windows also matter. A unit that is too small will not cool enough and one that is too large wastes energy, so we calculate it on every visit.

Which brands do you work with?

We work with manufacturers known for their efficiency and reliability, and we recommend the model that best fits your budget and your space. If you already have a brand in mind, we install that too.

Quotes and timings

How much does it cost to install air conditioning?

The price depends on the type of unit, its capacity and how complex the installation is: distance between units, height or building work needed. That is why we give you a fixed, detailed quote before starting, with no surprises.

Is there a charge for the quote?

No. Advice and quotes are free and with no obligation. You can request one by WhatsApp, by phone or through the contact form.

How long does the installation take?

A standard split unit is usually installed in one day. Ducted and cassette systems take longer depending on the work involved; we give you the exact timing in the quote.

The installation

Do I need permission from my residents’ association?

It depends on where the outdoor unit goes. If it is placed on the facade or in common areas, you usually need the community’s agreement and must follow its rules and local bylaws. If it goes on your private terrace or patio it is usually simpler. We help you choose the best location.

Where does the outdoor unit go?

In a ventilated place that is easy to reach for maintenance: terrace, patio, roof or facade, depending on the case. We look for the location that works best and is least visible, and make sure the noise does not bother anyone.

Is building work needed?

For a split unit, usually just a small hole in the wall for the pipes. Ducted and cassette systems need a false ceiling; if you do not have one, we explain the options. We always leave the area clean when we finish.

After the installation

Is the installation guaranteed?

Yes. All our work comes with an installation guarantee, in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty on the unit. We explain the conditions in the quote.

How often does it need maintenance?

We recommend a service once a year, ideally before summer. Cleaning the filters and checking the unit improves performance, reduces consumption and extends its life.

Do you repair units you did not install?

Send us the brand, the model and the problem, and we will tell you whether we can help.

Consumption and savings

How much electricity does air conditioning use?

It depends on the capacity, the efficiency of the unit and the hours of use. Modern inverter units with a good energy rating use far less than older ones. We recommend the model with the best balance between price and consumption.

Can it also heat in winter?

Yes. Heat pump units heat in winter and are one of the most efficient forms of electric heating. In Valencia’s climate they are a very good alternative to radiators and heaters.
